Here We Go Again....I hear the "Sound of Music"

We just got the news today…after TWO rounds of auditions for Sound of Music, Grace got the part of Brigitta von Trappe. (80 kids tried out for the seven von Trappe children roles.) This will be a very special play for Grace for a couple reasons. Grace’s Grandpa Pichler is 100% Austrian, so Grace has some Austrian blood running thru her veins….and the other reason is because her best friend, Madie Sherman, also got a part as Marta von Trappe….they get to play sisters and see each other every day at rehearsal. And there is more…Grace & Ben’s piano/voice teacher, Kat Sherman…got the part of Maria. If you are keeping track…yes, Kat is Madie’s mom and also a long time friend of ours.  Also…another Pichler family friend got the part of Max Detweiller, so it’s really special that Grace gets to be in a show with some very wonderful friends.

We have allowed Grace only two shows per ECCT season (which runs August-July.) This is her second and last show until she tries for any possible 11-12 year old girl roles next season.  Come check it out if you can. There will be only four shows.  Here’s the info….
